Men of Purity Weekend
They're in your church, singing in the choir, serving in leadership and listening to your sermons: men enslaved to pornography. It's time to deal with the toughest battle men face: living in sexual purity. End the silence; go on the offensive and rescue your men!
Taking Time To Get Focused
As you know, living in sexual purity is one of the hardest things men face in the sensual culture we live in. That's why we believe weekends like these are important for men. They give them an opportunity to come together, get real about their struggles and find what they are searching for: powerful answers that can only be found in the Word of God.
These weekends are a time for men to address sexual purity head on. They give them an opportunity to get into God's presence and find His help in the midst of their struggle, no matter how big or small it may be. Often times it is an opportunity for men to get their spiritual compass reset, and has been truly life changing for some.
While this weekend is by no means a "cure all," it is designed to impart a hunger in men to live in purity, and in some cases, take the extra steps to find the help they need. Our goal is nothing less than changed lives, and by the grace of God, that is what we have seen Him do during these weekends.
Basic Weekend Schedule
Each Men of Purity Weekend is tailored to the specific needs of the host church. But below is the basic format.
Friday Night Men's Worship Service
This is a time for Steve to preach directly to the men, giving the Lord an opportunity to search hearts and expose sin.
Saturday Morning Teaching Seminar
This seminar will focus on the biblical answers that will help men live in purity. Typically, it is two or three sessions long, and can be arranged to fit the specific needs of church or host. Including a Question & Answer session is often times helpful for the men attending. Generally, this seminar requires 3-4 hours to be done properly, and it is common for the host to plan a breakfast or lunch as part of the scheduled events.
Issues Addressed & Our Goal
The following are some of the issues that will be addressed during the Men of Purity Weekend: Lust, Temptation, Heart Adultery, Pornography, Sexual Idolatry, Repentance & Walking in the Spirit.
Our goal for each Men of Purity Weekend is to teach men how to live in purity by equipping them with biblical answers and by bringing them in touch with the power of God. Having overcome his own addiction to sexual sin, Steve Gallagher can relate to men at all levels of the struggle, and has a passion to see men set free to live completely victorious lives.
